Toshodaiji Temple

Toshodaiji Temple is a historical temple founded by the high priest Ganjin, who was invited by Emperor Shomu.
Toshodai-ji Temple dates back to the 19th year of Tenpyo (747) during the Nara period, when Ganjin Yamatojo arrived from Tang at the request of Emperor Shomu and built it.

A temple that represents the Tenpyo culture of the Nara period, it houses many national treasures and important cultural properties, and is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Kondo is a National Treasure that has existed since the Nara period. In the Kondo, there is also a National Treasure "Thousand Armed Kannon Statue".
