Nijo Castle is a historic castle located in the ancient capital of Japan, Kyoto, and is a place that plays an important role in Japanese history and culture.
Nijo Castle was built by Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1603 (Keicho 8) as a castle to show the authority of the Edo Shogunate. Nijo Castle's "Former Imperial Villa Nijo Castle No. 1 Parking Lot" is relatively expensive at 1,000 yen for the first 120 minutes.
