Yasaka Shrine is located at the eastern end of Shijo-dori, and is popular as a god of prosperous business and warding off evil.
It is also known as "Gion-san" and is famous for the Gion Festival in July.
It is a power spot of beauty that is popular with women, such as "Bigozensha", which is the god of beauty.

The townscape of Gion remains on Hanamikoji, which is located on the south side of nearby Shijo-dori.

Access to Yasaka Shrine is less than 10 minutes on foot from Gion Shijo Station. Along the way, there is "Hanamikoji", so you can see the streets of Gion together with Yasaka Shrine.
