Daigoji Temple is the head temple of the Daigo sect of Shingon Buddhism, and has a number of national treasures and important cultural properties, including a national treasure five-storied pagoda.
It is also registered as a World Heritage Site as a cultural property of ancient Kyoto.

It is also famous as the place where Toyotomi Hideyoshi's "Daigo no Hanami" was held.

There is a fairly large site from Shimo-Daigo to Kami-Daigo.

Adult: 1,500 yen (common ticket for Samboin, Garan, and Reihokan)
Middle and high school students: 750 yen (common ticket for Samboin Temple, Garan, and Reihokan)
