This hot spring town is located on the western shore of Lake Togo in Yurihama Town, Tohaku District, Tottori Prefecture. It is a relaxing spot reminiscent of "Japan's Hawaii," with hot springs that spring from the bottom of the lake, foot baths, and famous inns with open-air baths on the lake.
Hawai Onsen is a lakeside hot spring located on the western shore of Lake Togo in Yurihama Town, Tottori Prefecture. Its source is at the bottom of the lake, and its presence has been known since the Edo period. The former Hawai Town has a sister city relationship with Hawaii County (USA), and the town is home to a tropical atmosphere and "Aloha" monuments.

Lakeside strolls and footbaths are standard in the hot spring town. Footbaths inspired by the Seven Lucky Gods are scattered throughout the area, allowing visitors to enjoy bathing in different baths while strolling. Popular lodgings include Boukoro, renowned for its open-air baths on the lake, and Sennentei, with its spectacular baths overlooking the lake. Both offer views of the sunset over Lake Togo from the baths or guest rooms, and the steam swaying in the lake breeze evokes a sense of travel.

The water is a sulfate spring with a temperature of 40-60°C.

The "Hawaii Yu-Town" hot spring is available for day trips. Although the facilities are older, bathing is available for 360 yen, and it seems to be popular with locals. Soap is provided, but shampoo is not.
Each ryokan can be used as a day spa.

There is also a rare open-air bath on the lake called "Koi no Yu."

Togo Onsen is located on the opposite shore.

[Trivia]
- Legend has it that a carp told people about the hot springs that bubble up from the bottom of the lake, making it a popular matchmaking spot also known as "Koi no Yu" (Love Bath).

[Useful Points]
- Day-use baths at ryokans are subject to closures and time limits depending on the day and the number of visitors. Please check in advance (Sennen-tei has irregular opening times).
