Nakamura is a legendary Sanuki udon restaurant located in Marugame City. It is said to have played a leading role in starting the udon boom.
After Murakami Haruki featured it in his essay as "the legendary Nakamura," the "hands-off" and "self-service" atmosphere of the restaurant at the time was well-received by many people, and this seems to have led to the current casual Sanuki udon style.

Parking is available on the east side of the restaurant as well as along the river to the west.
