This ancient shrine in Yurihama Town, Tottori Prefecture, is revered as the Ichinomiya of Hoki Province. It enshrines the god of weaving and is also known for granting blessings in love and safe childbirth.
Shitori Shrine has a long history, and is even listed in the Engishiki Shinmeicho, a list of deities compiled during the Heian period. It is a prestigious shrine that has been revered as the Ichinomiya of Hoki Province. The main deity is Takehazuchi no Mikoto, the ancestor of textiles, and has long been worshipped as the guardian deity of the textile industry. The grounds are surrounded by giant cedar trees, creating a sacred and solemn atmosphere that brings tranquility and peace to visitors.

Shitori Shrine is not only worshipped as the god of textiles, but also as the god of matchmaking, safe childbirth, and child-rearing. Women in particular are deeply religious, and in recent years it has attracted attention as a power spot. The main hall and worship hall have a solemn appearance that evokes a sense of history, and the architectural style is also one of the highlights. In addition, sacred water springs out at the back of the grounds, and many people take this water home with them.

This is a must-visit place for those who want to experience the sacred atmosphere of a historic shrine, those with a connection to weaving and handicrafts, and those praying for love and safe childbirth.

Many artifacts, including national treasures, have been excavated from the Hoki Ichinomiya Sutra Mound on the premises.
