Mitani Falls is a two-tiered waterfall where water tumbles powerfully from the upper male waterfall, passes through a pool and flows into the lower female waterfall, making for a spectacular sight. The male waterfall is 15m high and 2m wide, while the female waterfall is 7m high and 3m wide. Acala is enshrined on the rocks to the left of the waterfall, and it has long been a place of religious training for believers.

In autumn, it is a famous spot for viewing autumn leaves, and the "Fukaya Maple Festival" is held in mid-November.
