This is a day-trip hot spring facility where you can enjoy the natural hot spring water of Nozawa Onsen, located in the northeastern part of Nagano Prefecture, which is also famous as the Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort.
The elegant bathhouse has hot and lukewarm water, as well as an open-air bath, where you can relax and heal your body.

The spring quality is a simple sulfur spring, and it is effective for atopic dermatitis, chronic skin diseases, chronic gynecological diseases, menstrual disorders, arteriosclerosis, high blood pressure, etc.

Unlike the outdoor baths, there is a fee, so the facilities are well-equipped. There are showers, shampoos, and rest rooms, so women and children can relax and enjoy the hot springs with peace of mind.

[About the outdoor baths of Nozawa Onsen (open for free)]

The outdoor baths of Nozawa Onsen are 13 public baths managed by a resident organization called "Yunakama," which has been in existence since the Edo period, and all of them are 100% natural hot springs.

Each bathhouse has a beautiful retro wooden building, and you can enjoy a stroll around the hot spring town by visiting the baths with different effects and spring quality, such as Oyu, Shinyu, and Takinoyu. It is popular to purchase a stamp-rally style outdoor bath pass (around 420 yen) as proof of your visit and visit all 13 baths.

[Things to note about outdoor baths]
The outdoor baths basically only have simple bathtubs. Shampooing is also prohibited. They may not be suitable for the average woman, but for those who like hot springs, they are a recommended healing spot where you can enjoy a decadent atmosphere.
Please be mindful of etiquette when bathing, such as pouring water over yourself, not putting towels in the bath, and bathing quietly.
