The symbol of Kamakura is the gigantic national treasure "Kamakura Daibutsu". Its appearance under the blue sky is overwhelming. You can also view the inside of the Buddha's womb, where you can feel its history and power. It is a standard tourist spot for Kamakura tourists.
Kotoku-in is a Jodo sect temple in Kamakura city, and the Great Buddha of Kamakura, a national treasure enshrined within its grounds, is a famous spot visited by tourists from all over the world as a symbol of Kamakura. Its enormous size, measuring approximately 11.3 meters in height and weighing approximately 121 tons, is overwhelming.

The Great Buddha of Kamakura is said to have been built in the mid-13th century and was originally housed inside a temple, but the temple was washed away by a tsunami during the Muromachi period, and it is now located outdoors. It has endured wind and snow and has been preserved in its current form for approximately 750 years.

It is also possible to enter the womb of the Great Buddha and experience its size from inside. It is a place where you can spend a peaceful time in the quiet and solemn grounds, feeling the weight of history and the grandeur of the Great Buddha.
