Mount Omuroyama is a volcano located on the Izu Peninsula, 580 meters above sea level, with a beautiful shape resembling an upside-down bowl. From the summit, you can enjoy a spectacular 360-degree view and a tour around the crater.
Mount Omuro is a monogenetic volcano located in Ito City, 580 meters above sea level. At the summit, there is a large crater with a diameter of 300 meters and a depth of 70 meters. Its gently sloping ridgeline resembles an upside-down bowl, making it a popular symbol of Ito.

The summit can be reached by lift in about 6 minutes, allowing you to enjoy a leisurely stroll through the air. From the lift, you can view the green slopes below and the ocean in the distance.

The summit is a crater-shaped basin covered with grass, and you can enjoy a 1-kilometer "circumnavigation of the crater basin." From the crater basin path, you can enjoy a magnificent 360-degree panorama unique to the Izu Peninsula, including Sagami Bay, Izu Oshima, the Amagi Mountain Range, and Mount Fuji. On clear days, you can enjoy a breathtaking view.

At the summit, there is the Asama Shrine, which is worshipped as the god of safe childbirth and matchmaking, and an archery range, so you can enjoy not only the scenery but also activities. Every February, a mountain burning is carried out, and after that, in the season of fresh greenery, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of a carpet of green. This is a spot where you can experience the beauty of nature and spectacular views that you cannot miss when sightseeing in Ito.

[Useful points of concern]
The lift is outdoors, so it may be suspended in strong winds or rain. We recommend checking the operation status on the official website in advance. There is little to block the sun at the summit, so you need to take measures such as hats and sunscreen in summer and cold weather in winter. In addition, although the path around the crater is paved, it is undulating, so it is best to visit in comfortable shoes.
