Shiraito Falls is an elegant waterfall located in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture. The meltwater from Mt. Fuji springs from between the lava and flows down like numerous white threads over a length of about 20 meters and a width of about 150 meters. It has been selected as one of the "100 Best Waterfalls in Japan" for its delicate and beautiful appearance, and is also registered as a component part of the World Heritage site "Mt. Fuji".

The biggest feature of this waterfall is that, unlike ordinary river waterfalls, the groundwater seeping out from the gaps in the lava layers flows down like a white curtain. As you approach the basin of the waterfall, the cool spray and unique roaring sound resonate pleasantly, and you are enveloped in cool air even in summer.

Right next to it is the "Otodome Falls", which is characterized by its masculine strength, so you can enjoy the two contrasting waterfalls at the same time. There is also a promenade, so you can enjoy the beauty of the waterfall from various angles while strolling. When sightseeing at Mt. Fuji, it is a must-visit spot where you can feel the mystery and grandeur of nature.
