Karuizawa's Shiraito Falls is a delicate and beautiful waterfall located in Karuizawa Town, Nagano Prefecture. The groundwater flows down like hundreds of white threads along the curved rock surface, like a silk curtain, and is as fantastic as its name suggests. Although it is not very high at about 3 meters, its unique landscape that spreads out horizontally at about 70 meters has a charm that other waterfalls do not have. It shows different expressions with each season, and the contrast with the surrounding greenery is particularly beautiful during the season of new green leaves, and in winter, it is lit up (for a limited time), creating a fantastic world.

The promenade leading to the waterfall basin (about a 5-minute walk) is maintained in a rich forest, and you can enjoy forest bathing while listening to the clean air, the murmuring of the river, and the chirping of birds. Standing near the waterfall, you can feel plenty of negative ions, and it is a healing spot that refreshes both body and mind. The road from the parking lot to the waterfall is relatively flat, so even children and elderly people can easily visit.

A toll is charged on Shiraito Highland Way.
