Takeda Shrine is a shrine in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, dedicated to Takeda Shingen. It is a historical site connected to the Takeda clan, and a popular power spot known for its blessings of victory and good fortune.
Takeda Shrine was founded in 1919 on the site of Tsutsujigasaki Residence, the residence of three generations of Takeda, Shingen, and Katsuyori, during the time when the Takeda clan ruled Kai Province.

The grounds contain remains of the Takeda clan, such as moats, earthworks, and old wells. In addition, the treasure hall displays swords, armor, and other swords related to the Takeda clan.

It is known as a power spot where many worshippers from all over the country visit to seek blessings such as good luck, good fortune, and protection from evil, hoping to share in Lord Shingen's good fortune.

In the grounds, items related to the Takeda clan are displayed, such as the "Suikinkutsu" (water harp) that Lord Shingen used, and the "Treasure Hall" that recalls life at that time. In particular, the "Sun Tzu Flag" and the "Fuurinkazan" military flags stored in the treasure hall convey Lord Shingen's strategic insight and ideas to the present day, and are a must-see for history fans.

The annual festival of Takeda Shrine is held every year on April 12th. This day is the anniversary of Takeda Shingen's death, and portraits of Takeda Shingen are displayed in Kofu City, and events to commemorate Takeda Shingen are held throughout the city.

[Trivia]
The original Takeda Shingen's military flag, "Furinkazan," is kept at Unpo-ji Temple and Enzan Temple in Koshu City. A replica of the Fuurinkazan flag is on display at Takeda Shrine, but the original is at Unpo-ji Temple and Eirin-ji Temple.

The military flag has the inscription "Fast as the wind, slow as the forest, invade as fire, immovable as the mountain," which is interpreted as "When advancing, be like the wind, when stationary, be like a forest, when attacking, be like fire, and when defending, be like a mountain."
