Lake Motosu is known for offering spectacular views of Mt. Fuji. You can see the majestic Mt. Fuji up close from a sightseeing boat on the lake. There are also spots along the lake where you can take pictures of Mt. Fuji upside down.
Lake Motosu offers a variety of activities such as camping, fishing, and hiking. There are also a variety of facilities along the lake, including hotels, inns, and souvenir shops.
You can see both Lake Motosu and Mt. Fuji clearly from the Nakanokura Pass observation point.
It takes about 30 minutes to climb up the hill from the parking lot to the observation deck.
There are many campsites along the lakeshore.
・Prefectural Lake Motosu Parking Lot
Located on the west side of the lake, about a 4-minute walk from the lake. Free 24-hour access, convenient for access to campsites and trailheads
・Parking Lot Adjacent to Lake Motosu Campground
Operated directly by the Tourist Association in the eastern part of the lake. Free and open to climbers (905m above sea level), but closed for winter from November 29th to mid-March the following year

28 parking spaces on the north shore of the 1,000-yen note Fuji Viewpoint. Free and equipped with toilets, but fills up quickly, so early morning use is recommended

During the spring event, a temporary bus parking lot is set up that is paid and does not require reservations, and general vehicles may be directed to nearby private paid parking lots.
