The Kagawa Prefectural Higashiyama Kaii Setouchi Art Museum houses and exhibits numerous works by Higashiyama Kaii, one of Japan's most renowned painters. The museum was opened in Kagawa Prefecture due to Higashiyama Kaii's ties to his grandfather's hometown. Of particular note is the museum's prime location at the foot of the Seto Ohashi Bridge. The museum's large windows offer a panoramic view of the majestic Seto Ohashi Bridge and the Seto Inland Sea's numerous islands, creating a moving experience as the world of paintings and the real landscape overlap.

The museum building itself is a modern structure designed by architect Yoshio Taniguchi, blending beautifully with the surrounding landscape. The permanent exhibition room features a rotating selection of approximately 500 works, including Higashiyama Kaii's masterpiece "Road," as well as sketches and prints. The special exhibition room also showcases works by a variety of artists, ensuring there's always something new to discover.

The museum also has a lounge where you can take a break while admiring the spectacular view, as well as a museum shop selling original goods featuring Higashiyama Kaii's works.
