Taguchi is a popular udon restaurant loved by locals. It's not a self-service udon restaurant, but rather a full-service establishment.

Taguchi's specialty is tempura udon. It's a very filling dish, with large tempura pieces spilling out of the bowl. A variety of tempura, including kakiage (mixed tempura), shrimp tempura, and vegetable tempura, are condensed into one tempura. The tempura has a firm texture, but dipping it in the broth makes it crispy and juicy, making it incredibly delicious.

The thick, handmade noodles have a chewy texture and go perfectly with the light, dried sardine-flavored broth.

In addition to tempura udon, the menu also includes meat udon, kitsune udon, wakame udon, tarai udon, and bukkake udon, as well as popular side dishes such as oden and inari sushi, a rice dish cooked with ingredients.

"Chuka Ramen Taguchi," located across from the restaurant, is a sister restaurant where you can also enjoy Onomichi ramen.

[Useful Concerns]
- There may be a line at lunchtime, but the turnover is relatively fast. However, when I visited on a weekend, there was a line of six groups, and it took 20 minutes to get a table plus a 10-minute wait after ordering.
- The restaurant is closed on Thursdays, and its business hours have changed to open until 3:00 PM. (This may change in the future, so please check in advance.)
