Kita no Daichi no Aquarium is an aquarium located in Kitami City, Hokkaido that exhibits freshwater fish such as taimen.
The Kita no Daichi Aquarium is home to 20 Japanese itou, which are the largest freshwater fish in Japan and have grown to a length of 1 meter.

The dome-shaped aquarium recreates the appearance of a waterfall basin, and you can see fish swimming in the rapids.

There is also an aquarium that freezes in winter to match the four seasons.
