Ako-Misaki is a seaside park with a promenade and plaza stretching around the cape. The view of the Harima Sea from Higashi-Misaki Park is breathtaking. In spring, approximately 1,700 Somei-Yoshino cherry trees decorate the slopes of the cape, creating a stunning contrast with the blue of the ocean. Evening views are also beautiful, and there are plenty of photogenic spots, including benches where you can relax and gaze out at the ocean, and the Higashi-Misaki Observatory.

At the center of the cape is Iwatohime Shrine, with its impressive torii gate facing the sea. The "Panbo no Seki" (Seat with a Panoramic View) in front of the shrine grounds and the Lovers' Sanctuary Monument are popular attractions. There are also plenty of sights to see on foot, such as Tatami Rock, which can be reached at low tide, and the historic site of the Misaki Coast Promenade, Oishi Nagori no Matsu (Oishi Remains of a Pine Tree). The Ako-Misaki Coast Promenade along the coast is also a great place for a stroll.

The area around Iwatohime Shrine is dotted with Ako Onsen inns and cafes, making it easy to enjoy a beachside holiday.
