As you ascend the mountain path from the side of Goenzan Ski Resort, you'll find yourself turning around to see a "cut-out Mt. Daisen." The grasslands at your feet and the mountain's north face in the distance overlap, creating a tranquil landscape often described as Scandinavian. Located slightly off the busy approach to the mountain, it's relatively quiet even in peak season. Both wide-angle and telephoto lenses are effective for photography, with mornings offering the shadows of the mountainside and afternoons capturing the three-dimensional ridgeline. Located at an elevation of around 750m, the breeze creates a cool, refreshing feeling even in summer.

In the evening, the sun sets over the Sea of Japan, painting the north face with a vibrant color. In summer, it's also known as a great place to photograph the Milky Way (please be mindful of lighting and weather conditions).

In autumn, you can enjoy the dynamic beauty of Mt. Daisen's autumn foliage.

To reach the trailhead, walk approximately 15 minutes from the Prefectural Daisen Parking Lot (Bakuroza) toward the ski resort, then a short 10-minute climb from there. The great thing about this place is that it can be reached in just 30 minutes.
