The Momotaro Karakuri Museum is located in Kurashiki city, Okayama prefecture, and is a museum themed around the history and tricks of Momotaro. The whole family can enjoy exploring Onigashima.
The museum is packed with fun features that allow you to "see, touch, and take pictures." Experience optical illusions, trick art, and peepholes, and feel like you've been transported to a world of folk tales. The attraction is the "karakuri experience," which will put a smile on the faces of children and adults alike.
The haunted-house-like "Cave Exploration Onigashima" is thrilling and fun for everyone, from young children to adults.

But there's also plenty to learn. The museum displays a collection of Momotaro-related items, including ukiyo-e prints, toys, and ancient documents, and introduces the evolution of the story from the Muromachi to Edo periods, as well as the beliefs and folklore rooted in the region. There's also a screening of the pre-war Momotaro anime, providing a three-dimensional insight into how the story spread.
