This popular bakery is located in a back alley, just a 5-minute walk from Himeji Castle. Its two signature items are natural yeast bagels and authentic hamburgers, and you can also eat in. It's a great place to enjoy Himeji cuisine, stroll around the castle town, or just enjoy some food.
Bakery Lamp is a renowned bakery hidden in a narrow alley in Honmachi, right next to Himeji Castle, and known only to those in the know. Renowned for its crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside bread, it offers around 20 varieties of natural yeast bagels, including many seasonal specials, and its popular hamburgers. With a wide selection of items, from hard pastries to Danish pastries and the famous cream bun, it's the perfect place for brunch between sightseeing or to pick up souvenirs.

The eat-in area in the back allows you to savor freshly baked bread. Originally a bakery and burger shop, the New York-style gourmet burger is also a must-try. The impressive 100% coarse-ground beef patty and fluffy bun are both photogenic and satisfying. Takeout is also perfect for a picnic to take to Sannomaru Square.
