The path to Yukakutei is a well-maintained footpath, approximately a 40-minute walk from Yashimayama Kami Nanrei Parking Lot or a 30-40-minute walk from Dankorei.

Small observation points are dotted along the way, and the view widens the further you walk, making it a truly captivating experience. The path is well-maintained, but has some ups and downs, and is a mix of paved and unpaved roads.

There are also information boards explaining the battlefields of the Genpei War, allowing you to enjoy the view from a historical perspective.

It's said that in 1923, Princess Masako (later Empress Kōjun) visited Yashima and named the northern end "Yukakutei."
