The tip of Yashima, the nose of Nagasaki. A scenic cape where the remains of a battery from the end of the Edo period meets the beauty of the Seto Inland Sea's many islands, this little-known spot is perfect for watching sunsets, taking photos, and hiking.
From the tip of Nagasaki-no-hana, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the islands of the Seto Inland Sea. You can see famous islands such as Ogijima, Megijima, Oshima, Teshima, Koteshima, and Shodoshima. The sheer cliffs of Yashima are also impressive.

Behind the cape are the remains of a three-tiered battery built by the Takamatsu Domain in 1863 to guard against foreign ships. The upper tier is said to have been a military barracks, with three cannons mounted on each of the middle and lower tiers. The view of the Yashima Plateau looking back from one corner of the historic site is also impressive. This spot, where natural beauty and military relics coexist, allows you to experience the history of the Seto Inland Sea.

The battery remains are about a 10-minute walk from the promenade.

There is a parking lot with several spaces, located down a narrow road from Prefectural Route 150.
