A complex on a hill overlooking the Naruto Strait and Onaruto Bridge. Enjoy sightseeing, gourmet food, and photo spots on Awaji Island all at once, with the giant onion "Ottamanegi," a spectacular terrace, and the famous sea urchin shabu-shabu.
This memorial hall, located on a hill in Minami Awaji City, opened in 1985, the same year the Onaruto Bridge opened. The museum boasts a variety of attractions, including the Uzu-no-Oka Aji Market, a local burger shop, and the Uzushio Science Museum, where visitors can learn about the workings of whirlpools in a fun way. It's a great place to stop by on a road trip or enjoy sightseeing. The grounds are barrier-free and feature a free dog run. The rooftop observation deck offers panoramic views of the ocean, bridge, and mountains.

The Awaji Island Onion Beef Burger and Awaji Island Onion Gratin Burger are popular, winning first and second place in the National Regional Burger Grand Prix.

For gourmet dining, try the spectacular Uzu-no-Oka Restaurant. Their signature dishes, Seafood Sea Urchin Shabu-Shabu and Awaji Beef Sea Urchin Shabu-Shabu, feature seasonal seafood and beef in a rich broth. With Onion Kitchen's local burgers and a wide selection of souvenirs made with local ingredients, you can complete sightseeing and lunch in one place.

Photographers should head to "Ottanegion," a giant onion sculpture. There are plenty of Awaji Island-themed experiences, such as renting onion wigs and trying out "onion catchers" to try and catch a real onion. The newly opened "Uzu-no-Oka Sky Terrace ~NARU~" is a popular area with views of Fukura Bay and Naruto from its wooden deck, and you can take some stunning photos in the morning and evening light.

At the "Uzushio Science Museum," you can observe whirlpools and learn about the history and culture of Awaji Island.
