Suzuya Akamon store is a long-established Western restaurant located in Osu, Naka Ward, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture. Established in 1947, it is one of the most famous tonkatsu restaurants in Nagoya.

This long-established restaurant is located north of Osu Kannon Temple, near Akamon Street. Established after the war, its signature offering has been honed: "Suzuya-style" tonkatsu. The pork cutlet is lightly coated with homemade breadcrumbs that are finer than average and then lightly roasted, creating a fragrant, crunchy batter. The more you chew, the more juices spread, and the sweet, rich miso sauce that is typical of Nagoya goes perfectly with the cutlet. As a Western restaurant, they also offer classic dishes like beef stew and cream croquettes, making it a restaurant that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

The area is home to the Osu Kannon Shopping Street, temples, shrines, and photogenic alleyways, so a stroll around Osu after your meal is a must-see.
