Ikesu-ya is a restaurant and direct sales store run directly by the Uchiura Fisheries Cooperative Association in Numazu City. Its biggest feature is that the fresh horse mackerel kept alive in the fish tank right next to the store is cooked to order. This overwhelming freshness makes the meals here exceptional.

Particularly popular is the "live horse mackerel bowl" topped with a generous amount of live horse mackerel. The firm flesh and crunchy texture are a delicacy that can only be enjoyed freshly. The freshly fried horse mackerel is also delicious, with a crispy outside and plump and juicy inside, and the horse mackerel's flavor concentrated in it.

From inside the restaurant, you can enjoy the calm view of Uchiura Bay, and on clear days you can even see Mt. Fuji.
