Muroto Skyline Summit Observatory is an observation deck located at the highest point of the ridge that stretches to the north of Cape Muroto in Muroto City, Kochi Prefecture. The view overlooking the majestic Pacific Ocean is spectacular, and it is famous for the "round horizon," which makes you realize that the earth is round. Located within the Muroto-Anan Coast National Park and known as one of the bases of the Muroto Geopark, it is a spectacular spot that represents Kochi Prefecture, with its dynamic topography and the expanse of the Pacific Ocean.

The greatest attraction of this observation deck is the 360-degree panoramic view and the fact that you can feel the roundness of the horizon. From the observation deck, you can see a vast view that stretches from the Kii Peninsula to the east to Cape Ashizuri to the west, and on a clear day, you can really feel the roundness of the earth. The comfortable breeze blows through, and the contrast between the blue sky and the sea attracts visitors, making it a popular photo spot. Especially at sunrise and sunset, the sky is dyed in various colors, creating a fantastic scene.

[Hidden gem]
The main observation deck is popular, but there are also several other parking spaces and small observation spaces along the Skyline where you can enjoy the view from different angles. In particular, if you visit early in the morning or at dusk to avoid crowds, you may be able to have a more fantastical view all to yourself.
