The Motonomi Inari Shrine, with its impressive array of countless red torii gates, and the nearby Tsukoryu Gongen's tidal blowhole are both located in Yamaguchi Prefecture and are known as some of the most powerful spiritual spots in the area.
Motonosumi Inari Shrine is a popular power spot, with 123 arched torii gates on a slope leading to the sea. The large torii gate at the top of the approach is home to Japan's hardest offering box, and the unique experience of throwing your offering six meters into the air has garnered much attention. The contrast between the sea and the torii gates is beautiful, with the Sea of Japan stretching out before you in a cobalt blue ocean on clear days and the dynamic whitecaps of the Sea of Japan on stormy days.

Just beyond the shrine is the "Tsu Koryu-gu Shrine Spout," a natural spectacle where seawater spurts out of cracks in the rocks on stormy days. This is most likely to occur when north to northeasterly winds blow and waves are 2.5 meters or higher, increasing the chance of encountering rough seas in winter.

Beyond the torii gates is a rugged, rocky coastline, and standing on the rocks can be quite thrilling, even with the strong winds.

The stunning views make this a recommended date spot as well as a power spot.

[Trivia]
- The offering box is located at the top of the large torii gate. It's said that if you enter it, your wish will come true. If you fail, you can simply place your offering in the offering box on the right.

[Hidden Gem]
The surrounding area is a scenic drive along the sea cliffs of Kitanagato Coast Quasi-National Park, and is dotted with other famous spots, such as Senjojiki, the fishing lights of the Higashi Ushirohata Rice Terraces, and Omijima.
