Roadside Station Harima Ichinomiya in Shiso City, Hyogo Prefecture, is located near Iwa Shrine, the Ichinomiya of Harima Province. You can enjoy local specialties and gourmet food, and it is also popular as a power spot for matchmaking.
Roadside Station Harima Ichinomiya is located in Sugyouna, Ichinomiya-cho, Shisō City, Hyogo Prefecture, about 15 minutes from Yamazaki IC on the Chugoku Expressway on National Route 29 towards Tottori. The biggest feature is that it is located right next to Iwa Shrine, known as the Ichinomiya of Harima Province. As a result, it attracts many worshippers and is also attracting attention as a power spot for matchmaking. The roadside station's facilities are warmly built using plenty of local wood, making it the perfect space for resting, eating, and looking for souvenirs.

At the direct sales store within the facility, you can find a wide variety of hand-pulled somen noodles, a specialty of Shisō City, yuzu miso, and fresh locally grown vegetables and fruits. Fruits from all over the country are also sold, and you can experience a variety of seasonal flavors each season. At the restaurant "Ofukuro Shokudo," you can enjoy heartwarming home-cooked dishes such as handmade side dishes using delicious local rice "Koshihikari," freshly fried tempura, and 100% buckwheat noodles. In particular, the free-range egg rice is a popular dish.

In addition, the roadside station displays the majestic "Danjiri" (food stall) used in the autumn festival of the neighboring Iwa Shrine, allowing you to experience the traditional culture of the region. It is an attractive spot where you can not only take a break from your travels, but also experience history, culture, and local food. There is also a restaurant on the premises where you can bring your pet, making it a great roadside station for dog lovers.

[Trivia]
Iwa Shrine, located right next to the roadside station Harima Ichinomiya, is known as the Ichinomiya of Harima Province (the main shrine of Harima Province), and has long been worshiped as the god of industry, matchmaking, and recovery from illness. Shiso City is also said to be the birthplace of sake, and there are many sake breweries in the area. You can also buy local sake at the roadside station.

[Hidden gem information]
Iwa Shrine, a one-minute walk from the roadside station, is worth visiting as a power spot.
