Magose Pass of Kumano Kodo is a pass on the boundary between Kihoku Town and Owase City in Mie Prefecture. At an altitude of 325m, it is said to be the most difficult part of the Iseji route, but the cobbled streets are said to be the most beautiful on the Kumano Kodo.
The stone-paved road continues endlessly through the Owase cypress forest surrounded by giant Owase cypress trees. The stone pavement was built 1,300 years ago, and is paved with heavy natural stones, which have protected the road from the rain of Owase, which boasts one of the highest rainfalls in Japan.

The Kumano Kodo is registered as a World Heritage Site.

If you follow the climbing course that continues from Magose-toge Pass, you will be able to reach Mt. Tengukura and Mt.
