Kaikyokan is an aquarium located in Shimonoseki.

The "Blue Whale Whole Body Skeletal Specimen" is impressive with a total length of 27.2 meters and a weight of 130 tons. There are only a few in the world, and Kaikyokan is the third exhibition hall in the world.

The Fugu Pavilion is Japan's largest Fugu Pavilion, displaying about 100 species of pufferfish. You can learn about the pufferfish's ecology and poison characteristics.
