Shoto-en is a garden built at the end of the Edo period, located in the town of Shimokamagari Island, which prospered as a strategic point for maritime traffic in the Seto Inland Sea.

It is a strolling pond garden with mainly pine trees and the rapid tide of the Sannose Seto as a borrowed scenery.
