It is a roadside station along National Route 191 at the northernmost tip of Yamaguchi.

A day trip hot spring facility, Tamangawa Onsen Ikoi no Yu, is located near the opposite bank of the river.

The spring quality is a calcium-sodium-chloride cold spring with a temperature of 22.5 degrees.

Tamagawa Campsite and Segoe Beach are nearby.
