This roadside station is located along National Route 187 in Nishikicho, a mountainous area in Iwakuni City.

Nishiki-cho is home to Mt. Jakuchi, the highest mountain in Yamaguchi Prefecture at an altitude of 1,337 meters, Jakuchi River (one of Japan's top 100 famous waters), Jakuchikyo Goryu Falls (one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls), and Rakansan Prefectural Natural Park. , Kitanikyo (one of the 100 best water source forests), and Sozukyo Onsen, a natural radon spring flowing directly from the source.

Specialties are konjac and wasabi.
