This is a railway museum that exhibits linear motor cars, Shinkansen trains, old trains, etc. This is a museum where you can learn about the evolution of railways and the history and future of Japan's proud high-speed railways.
The SCMAGLEV and Railway Park is a railway museum operated by JR Central and located in Minato Ward, Nagoya City. With the theme of "Development of High-Speed Railway Technology," a large number of real trains from the past to the present are on display, from successive Shinkansen trains to steam locomotives and the superconducting linear of the future.

Through these impressive trains, you can experience the evolution of Japan's world-class railway technology up close. In particular, the superconducting linear simulator (lottery system, fee required) that runs at 500 km/h is a popular attraction that allows you to experience the railway of the future.

The museum is full of experience-based content that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike, such as a driving simulator (fee required) and a railway diorama. In one of Japan's largest railway dioramas, a precisely reproduced model train runs against the backdrop of Japan's changing seasons and cityscapes, fully conveying the charm of railways. There are also plenty of exhibits that provide easy-to-understand explanations of the mechanisms of trains and the history of railways, making it enjoyable for both railway fans and those who are not familiar with railways.

The Shinkansen simulator "N700" and the conventional train simulator "Conductor" are available by lottery, and if you win the lottery, you can experience them for a fee.

You can learn about the technology that supports safe railway operation and the work of railway workers, and this facility allows you to understand Japanese railways from various angles. It is a recommended spot for families with children who love trains.

The Legoland Japan theme park is located nearby.
