Tsuyu no Tenjinsha is a historic shrine located in the Umeda area of Osaka City that is said to have been founded over 1,300 years ago.

Tsuyuten Shrine is famous for the suicide incident that took place in the 16th year of Genroku (1703), when the prostitutes Ohatsu and Teshiro Tokubei committed suicide within the shrine grounds.
In the precincts, there are statues of Ohatsu and Tokubei and a monument to their suicide.

It is known as a matchmaking shrine and is very popular, with many worshipers visiting.
