UKIYO-E KURASHIKI/Kuniyoshikan, located in the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, is the world's first museum to permanently display the works of Utagawa Kuniyoshi.
Kuniyoshi was an ukiyo-e artist from the late Edo period, known for his unique style known as ``kaiga.'' The main building exhibits approximately 100 of Kuniyoshi's masterpieces, including his masterpieces, ``Soma no Furudairi'' and ``The 53 Stations of the Tokaido.''

Also on display are works by Kuniyoshi's students and contemporary art works with motifs from Kuniyoshi's ukiyo-e prints, introducing the charm of Kuniyoshi from a variety of angles.

The museum is built in a renovated wooden building that was once used as an inn. The interior of the museum is a bright and open space where you can relax and admire Kuniyoshi's works.
