This ancient temple boasts over 1,300 years of history as a "temple of victory." Many large and small "winning daruma" dolls are dedicated within the temple grounds, and the fantastic scenery of the autumn leaves and early morning mist is also a must-see.
Katsuo-ji Temple is located in Minoh City, Osaka Prefecture, and is an old temple said to have been founded in 717. As its name suggests, it attracts believers for its benefits of "lucky luck," and people visit to pray for all kinds of "victories," such as passing exams, prosperity in business, and sports victories.

There are "winning daruma" of various sizes donated all over the temple grounds, and you can write your wishes on them and donate them again, and the sight of the overwhelming number of them lined up is worth seeing.

The temple is also blessed with nature in every season, and in autumn the leaves turn fiery red and yellow, coloring the approach and the corridors of the main hall. In the early morning, mountain mist rolls in, and the temple buildings emerge from the silence, creating a mysterious atmosphere, making it popular with photography enthusiasts. It is the perfect place to forget the hustle and bustle of the city and quietly pray for good luck.
