The Tanize Suspension Bridge is Japan's longest residential iron wire suspension bridge in Totsukawa Village, Yoshino District, Nara Prefecture. It is 54 meters high and 297.7 meters long, standing 20 meters above the river.
The Tanize Suspension Bridge was built in 1954 as a daily life bridge connecting Uenoji and Tanize. At that time, Uenoji and Tanize were connected by a log bridge, but it was often washed away by floods, so a steel wire suspension bridge was built with the cooperation of the villagers.

The Tanize Suspension Bridge is still used as a community road and is popular with locals and tourists. It is also a popular tourist spot that attracts many tourists as a thrilling experience.

The recommended way to enjoy the Tanize Suspension Bridge is to cross it. Walking on a swaying bridge is thrilling, but it also gives you a sense of accomplishment.

In addition, there are various sightseeing spots around the Tanize Suspension Bridge, such as Tanize Onsen and Tanize Nature Experience Village. When visiting Tanize Suspension Bridge, be sure to visit the surrounding tourist attractions as well.
