Kinkaku-ji Temple

Kinkakuji is officially called Rokuonji and is one of the sub-temples of Shokokuji. In addition, Ginkakuji is also a temple of Shokokuji.
It was founded in 1397 by Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, the third shogun of the Muromachi Shogunate.

Ginkakuji is located about 30 minutes to the east.
