It is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in Shimane Prefecture and has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots along the Hii River in Unnan City.
The cherry blossom season is from late March to early April.

When the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the bank is dyed pink, and the contrast with the blue sky is truly spectacular. It is an exceptional experience to walk through a tunnel of cherry blossoms as you leisurely walk. During the flowering period, the Unnan City Cherry Blossom Festival is also held, with many lively food stalls lined up. At night, lanterns are lit up, allowing you to enjoy the fantastical cherry blossoms at night, which offers a different atmosphere from the daytime.

Another attractive feature is its easy access, just a short walk from JR Kiji Station.
