The Naramachi Lattice House, a reproduction of a traditional townhouse from Naramachi, is a free viewing spot where you can experience up close the wisdom of life in the Edo and Meiji periods, with its latticework, box staircases, and courtyards.
Naramachi Lattice House is a facility that faithfully reproduces the structure of a townhouse from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period, and is characterized by its long and narrow "eel bed" type structure with a deep opening, a passage garden, a courtyard, a storehouse, and a box staircase. The lattice doors are designed to block views from the outside while allowing ventilation and light in, allowing you to experience the functional beauty of the lattice.

The main house, middle room, inner room, annex, and storehouse are connected by corridors within the building, and there are many reproductions of household tools and hearths, as well as displays of materials. The annex hosts seasonal exhibitions and viewings of Kamigata dance and Noh.
