This popular restaurant is known for its chewy, handmade Sanuki udon noodles and freshly fried tempura.
The menu offers a wide variety of udon, including the standard bukkake udon and kake udon, as well as seasonal udon and Okayama's specialty shrimp rice udon. In particular, the piping hot tempura, fried after an order is placed, has a crispy batter and exquisite flavor of the ingredients, making it a must-try dish to enjoy with your udon.

The noodles are hand-made in-store every day by a craftsman, and are known for their firmness and smooth texture. The soup stock is light, made with plenty of dried sardines from the Seto Inland Sea, and brings out the flavor of the udon.

It's about a 15-minute drive from Kurashiki Station.

The photo shows the "bukkake tempura" for 830 yen.

It's not a self-service restaurant, so the time and price are a little high, but the tempura is delicious and it's just right for a leisurely meal.

A self-service udon restaurant where you can eat quickly is cheap and delicious! We recommend "Tanuki-ya" near Kitanagase Station on the Okayama city side of Prefectural Route 162.
