It is a tourist spot that represents Kamakura. It is famous as a shrine connected to Kamakura's first shogun Minamoto no Yoritomo.
Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine has many attractions, including the main shrine, which has been designated as a nationally important cultural property, the Wakamiya Shrine, and the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Museum. Additionally, the Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine Festival held every July is known as one of Kamakura's three major festivals.

The precincts are free to visit. Admission to the treasure hall is charged.
