Nagahama Bridge (Red Bridge)

It is the oldest existing openable bridge in Iyo Nagahama. It was also registered as an important cultural property.

Nagahama Ohashi Bridge is a monoplane type bascule bridge with bridge girders that open and close on one side.The approximately 82-ton weight called a counterweight placed on the bridge allows the approximately 54-ton bridge girder to open and close smoothly.

It opens and closes at 1pm on Sundays. It is illuminated at night in July and August.
