Kasaneiwa, located in the mountains of Shozu District, Kagawa Prefecture, is the sacred object of worship for Oze Ishizuchi Shrine. True to its name, it's two gigantic rocks stacked on top of each other to form a single rock. The lower rock acts as a pedestal, while the upper rock appears to float in mid-air, creating a miraculous sight. Its exquisite balance, seemingly created by the power of nature, is astonishing. Its towering form, particularly against the backdrop of the ocean, evokes a deep emotion and a sense of mysticism.

To reach Kasaneiwa, hike along a mountain trail. Lined with rocks and trees, the trail is enveloped in a tranquil atmosphere. While the journey is arduous, the sense of accomplishment you feel upon reaching the top and the magnificent view that unfolds before you will make you forget your struggles. There's also a chain section along the way, offering some thrills. From the summit of Kasaneiwa, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the Seto Inland Sea's numerous islands and the beautiful scenery of Shodoshima.

It takes about 20 minutes one way from the parking lot to Shigeiwa.

Shigeiwa has long been worshipped as the sacred object of Oze Ishizuchi Shrine, and is known as a power spot. Its mystical atmosphere exudes a refreshing energy.
