It is the ruins of Takeda Castle, which is famous as the "Castle in the Sky" and only the stone walls remain today.

The sea of clouds can be seen on clear autumn to winter mornings.

Access is restricted for private vehicles at the nearest parking lot, the "Bus and Taxi Drop-off and Pick-up Area," so visitors need to take a bus or taxi.

Cars can be parked at "Yamashiro-no-Sato Toujou-guchi" and visitors can take a bus or walk for 20 minutes (to the Bus and Taxi Drop-off and Pick-up Area).

It takes another 20 minutes' walk after getting off the bus.

There is also a direct hiking trail from behind Takeda Station.
