Yushien is one of the largest Japanese gardens in the San'in region, located in Daikonjima, Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture.
In 1870, Sakae Kadowaki, a wealthy farmer on Daikon Island, opened the park to recreate the scenery of the Izumo region.

In the park, seasonal flowers are in full bloom, such as an artificial hill that imitates Mt. Daisen, the scenic spot "Oni no Toshibu" and Lake Shinji, a pond that expresses Nakaumi, peonies, irises, and autumn leaves.

In particular, about 500 peony plants are planted, and a peony garden party is held from late April to early May every year.

Peony flowers around May are famous.

There are also illuminations at night during the summer illuminations in the summer and during the fall foliage season.
