Nichihara Astronomical Observatory is an observatory located in Tsuwano-cho, Kaashi-gun, Shimane Prefecture.
The telescope of the Nibara Astronomical Observatory is a reflector telescope with a diameter of 75 cm. It was made by modifying the prototype mirror of the Subaru Telescope. This telescope is one of the largest among all observatories in Japan, and can observe stars and celestial bodies that cannot be seen with the naked eye.

Events such as astronomical observation meetings and workshops are held regularly at Nichihara Astronomical Observatory. Also, at the Science Museum of Stars and Forests, there are exhibits and explanations about astronomy and space.

It is open every day during the summer holidays.
